One of the perks of my job is getting to meet so many great people, and this fall I have been lucky to get to spend some time with many awesome families! This family was really fun to photograph. The kids were so adorable–the littlest two were not sure of me at first, but before long they were giving me the sweetest smiles! Mom and Dad do a great job keeping up with these kiddos and matching their energy. What a wonderful family!
Family of Six
I am up to my ears in editing today but I wanted to take a minute to share these photos from last Saturday. I met this family this summer when I took newborn photos of their sweet little girl. It was so fun to see how she has grown since then, and it melted my heart to see the three older siblings fawning over their little sister. This whole family is just so sweet, loving and lively! I loved hanging out with them!
Family of Four
I have been taking photos of this family for a few years now, and I have to say, these are my favorite photos of them yet! It is so beautiful to see how this family has grown! Little Jack has always been so great at charming the camera, and he is becoming such a handsome little man! Ella is a little bundle of sunshine and smiles. The two of them together is a total cuteness overload! Meg and Matt are seriously owning this whole parenting thing, and looking great while they do it! What an awesome, adorable bunch!
Family of Seven
I got to take photos of the most adorable family last weekend. I’ve photographed this family before, and as I was saying hi to the kids, I thought to myself, “That’s funny, I don’t remember one of these little munchkins being there last time”. It hit me afterward–that’s because she was a baby last time! It’s so awesome to see how all the little ones have all grown! And there has been a new addition since I last saw this family – a beautiful baby girl! The kids are such a close knit group. The older ones watch out for the younger ones, and they all take turns making each other smile and laugh. While I was taking his individual shots, one of the little guys started to become unhappy. Without missing a beat, his little sis ran over and gave him a big hug. After that, he had the biggest smiles for me! Their parents take care of the bunch so well. And their mother is just radiant, isn’t she? I loved taking photos of this beautiful family!
A Family Visit
I had so much fun at the park the other day with these two gorgeous sisters and two adorable kids! Elena’s sister Andrea was visiting from Ecuador, so they decided to have some photos done to commemorate their time together! We all enjoyed the pleasant morning at Centennial Park (not too hot and with a nice little breeze — not bad for August in Texas!). I can’t get over how stunning these two sisters are and I was positively charmed by Elena’s two sweet children. They sure were cute playing with their aunt! It was clear that everyone enjoyed the visit!
Jack’s Second Birthday
Jack is turning two this month! It was so great to spend time with him and his parents, Matt and Meg, the other evening. Jack has grown so much since his one-year old pictures I took last year. He is such a talker now! His favorite topic on this evening was the cookies that he was going to get for being such a good boy. One thing is the same as last year- he’s awesome at smiling for the camera! Jack gave 110 percent the whole time. It was so sweet to watch these three interacting. Jack loved to run and jump and play with mom and dad and was not stingy with giving hugs. This family is so sweet and so much fun!
Family Bluebonnets
I have been a busy bee this spring with bluebonnet photos! Here’s another adorable family in the flowers! These guys are so sweet!
One Year Old Bluebonnet Session
I just love spring in Texas–the cool temperatures, verdant greens, and best of all, the wildflowers! When a sweet little boy has a birthday this time of year, bluebonnet photos are a must! Thomas just turned one. Last time I photographed this family, he was six months old. It is so awesome to see how much he’s grown! He’s walking now, and watching him tottering around losing his balance and tumbling into the flowers– it was stinkin’ adorable. Another big difference is how striking the color of his hair has gotten–this little guy’s red head and the bright blue flowers made for an awesome color combination! Of course I can’t neglect to mention Nathanial and Geralyn. They are still as cool as ever, and it’s always a pleasure to hang out with them! The night we took these photos I got to relish another Texas experience — an intense, booming thunderstorm! We finished up before it started coming down, but I think you can see some ominous purple tones in the sky in some of these pictures. Like Texas in the spring, this family is pleasant and bright, and a lot of fun!
Baby Adelina
Introducing Baby Adelina! I had the honor of photographing this sweet little girl at just 7 days old. Naturally, Mary Clare and Damian simply adore this beautiful girl. When the baby was getting tired, Damian stepped in to walk her around. Mary Clare told me that her husband often gets the baby to sleep this way. This time, however, Adelina rewarded him a little surprise of her own (one of the dangers of diaper-less newborn photos!). Both parents took it so well, and were totally cracking up as they cleaned up the areas of collateral damage. Seeing their good-humored reaction to the mishap, I can tell these two have what it takes to be great parents!
About a week after our newborn session, we met up for some bluebonnet photos, which I thought was an awesome idea! What better way to commemorate the time of year that this beautiful girl was born? Congratulations, Damian and Mary Clare! You will be wonderful parents!
Winter Day Family Photos
I met this adorable family on a December morning for some family Christmas photos. Stephen, Mary, and their three boys brightened the day with their beautiful smiles and personalities. Mary told me that she loves the way the trees look without the leaves, and I have to agree that this Texas winter day, though chilly and gray, has a serene beauty. The two oldest boys did not have any trouble keeping warm since they were running all over the place. Meanwhile, the baby was so calm and sweet the entire time. I enjoyed spending time with this fun gang while capturing these pictures!
